Ceramic Mural

This large-scale mural, in full view of but unnoticed by thousands of commuters every day, can be seen in the Crémazie subway station. It's called Le poète dans l'univers and pays homage to three famous Quebec poets.

The station opened in 1966 and the mural is a good example of the 1960s aestheticism that I like, so I thought the black and white would do that era justice.

For a colour picture, come back one year from now...

Mural created by Georges Lauda, Paul Pannier, and Gérald Cordeau.
Poets represented: Octave Crémazie, Émile Nelligan, and Hector de Saint-Denys Garneau.
