The fool on the hill

Blown away

I'd just cut down and rebalanced a prop on one of my toys so I thought I'd check it out on the kids. It is amazing what modern technology has done for model aeroplanes. This little electric motor is not much bigger than your thumb and yet it turns a 7 inch prop at 15,000 rpm and kicks out about 300W for ten minutes from a battery the size of a Mars Bar (a king-sized one, granted). And the wing now has strips of red and green LEDs so I can fly it at night ;-)
You couldn't do this sort of thing with a glowplug engine. I did try once - it didn't half fumigate the house.
Tilly always pulls that face.
