Enough already

OK that's it. I've officially had enough of freezing whenever we step out of the door. How you Canadians, Scandinavians and North Americans manage I really don't know.

Last night was particularly depressing. We popped over the road to have an aperitif with our pals Teddy and Nicola. They have the most beautiful garden and it was just tragic to see that 75% of their plants have died in this freezing weather. Ours, too, have taken a beating and I fear that I may lose all the citrus trees and bushes. These mandarins are hanging on and I pray we can keep them. We fleeced the other trees but were caught on the hop with these.
