Purple! Pink! Purple! Pink!

We wanted to have a room in a "plum" color. Easier said than done!

Almost all the samples we ordered turned out either lilac, purple, or very pink. Plum is sure elusive.

In the end we settled on this one, which R. is adamant is a purple.

Compared to most definitions of purple, it is, in my opinion, suspiciously pink. For one, the official complementary color is a green, that's a hint as to the absence of blue if there ever was one.

In truth, it's very close to a clean magenta with a bit of black, but it is much more fun to keep arguing the purpleness or pinkitude of the color.
