This Little Piggy

Back to Beechcroft Farm and Rachel kindly showed me the pigs. Raised outside and without using birthing pens each sow will produce a litter of 8-10. Sows aren't necessarily maternal, if they want to lay down they will and it t is up to the piglets to get out of the way. Ultimately these little chaps will be sold in the farm shop, terms of food miles not far as we live less than 2 miles away.
These are about a week old. They do not like the cold wind, it sends them scurrying around the pen.
