Peregrination

We found Nemo!

It has been a long long day so far, since we woke up 0300 this morning to get a flight from Jakarta to the town of Gorontalo, in North Sulawesi. Not only was it an early start, but our Lion Air flight was an hour delayed in Makassar on the enroute to here, but we made it and in time for an afternoon dive.

This was the first dive with our new BCDs and regs and also using my new camera and housing. No strobe today though, I will take that along tomorrow.

We dove a site called 'Cliffs' which is a 40m deep reef wall, with viz of over 20m. Apparently 3 days earlier they had encountered a whale shark there, who was intrigued by the divers' bubbles. No luck today, but we did see a large napoleon wrasse at the start, some great nudibranchs and really healthy reef.

Still getting to grips with the camera, but thought today's blip was a commendable effort for a first attempt. I aim to improve for tomorrow. For now though it is time for a snooze before we head out for dinner.
