The Scottish National Portrait Gallery

I went this morning to look again at these newly restored galleries. Many of the old favourites are still on view.
I got a serious reprimand from a uniformed doorman for taking a photo of the entrance door !! Oh, he gave it to me !! You can't take a photo of that !! The RULES say you must be inside the hall or on the stairs !! I am still not sure what artistic damage I was doing to the door handles but surely he would not have got so very bossy if there were no crisis for The Arts !! Some people are not allowed or able to use a modicum of sense !
