ICY

This signpost was spotted on the top of Great Hill, part of the route for today's Anglezarke Amble, 24 miles of trying to run on sheet ice.

I have heard tales of over 60 retirements (don't blame them) and some broken bones (never good to hear).

It was a bit of a blip meet, I had the pleasure of setting off with Blackrodlad although I didn't see him again until the end as he shot off like a bullet and got round in 4h 20m to finish first.

Also there was IWC who I ran with for a while until he sensibly put on his Kahtoola running crampons and also disappeared into the distance.

Got my feet up now, waiting for my tea (good old Mrs R :)))
