Carnethy 5

I'm so pleased I managed to run the Carnethy 5 this afternoon and I wasn't last (I think there were three people after me!). Well over 500 people registered for the race today (over 600 entered) and almost all of them finished.

Here is a blip of the first hill, Scald Law. I was right at the back, so I thought I should take a photo early on in the race before all the other runners disappeared over the horizon. After Scald Law, it's onward to South Black Hill, East Kip, West Kip, then steeply down to the Howe and up again to the top of Carnethy. It's 9.1 km and 750m of ascent. There's a hot meal waiting at Beeslack School for every runner after the race. A great day out!
