Camel Country

Galloping

Usually on a late Friday and Saturday afternoon in Camel Country is the hmar (donkey) recreation that will take place at the beach front near Bahrain Fort. After warming up with hot chocolate, I met interesting people and took photos of a young couple taking their 3 month old puppy 'Grisly' for a walk, men having 'chai' in a shack playing dominoes, Hafaz looking out at sea with the low tide, boats mooring at shore, a group of Bangladeshi workers smiling & posing; and then finally I was rewarded with this photo! The main rider had the esteem appearance of what I thought could be Prince Nasser, but he turned out to be more like 'Mr Bean'. Although the afternoon was chilly, we were welcomed warmly by the locals. It's true what they say, a wave and smile can be understood in any language.
