Foolish thing to do....

Yes I suggested we should take the 4WD up and over hardknott pass - however conditions were pretty bad and very icy we were lucky not to crash - we stopped to help someone who actually had, his 4WD was beached on the side of a hill, and no-one was prepared to come out until conditions improved - 3 days they reckoned, not good.

After safely returning we decided a nice trip up on a steam engine was far more relaxing, except it was flippin freezing.

Finished off the day in Ravenglass, hunting for some Roman Baths, ended up on the beach, was slightly concerned with the notices alerting us to the fact the MOD commonly use the area for missile practice!
