Kung Fu

We visited the zoo today and the giant pandas came out to see us - which was great.

I do wonder whether its worth all the money and effort to keep an evolutionary cul-de-sac of a species alive. Fussy eaters, can only breed three days a year, solitary animals who would just as well kill each other as have babies.

They are beautiful creatures though.

And I learnt that they do handstands against walls (and trees) and have a pee. Apparently the higher a male panda can pee the more impressed a lady panda is. Its true - this chap did a handstand for us a couple of minutes later.
