Garden spider

I have been watching this little fellow for several days now. No web. He lives on the stalk of flowers in the picture. I have seen him getting fatter and fatter and watched him eat a fly yesterday. The flower stock is interesting. It appears to be asteraceae but it is on a succulent that doesn't appear to have leaves, just stems, albeit juicy stems.
