Turner and sunset at Margate

Took the train down to Ramsgate so I could catch up with Kay. We decided to drive over to Margate to see the Turner exhibition and saw the Hamish Fulton Walk exhibition as a bonus. We were greeted back into the bitter cold by this glorious sunset and I'm sure Turner would have done it proud.

I'm only just starting to get to know Kent, thanks to Kay's extended stay down here but so far I'm enjoying these trips of discovery. Apparently Turner once described the skies over Thanet as the loveliest in Europe. I'm not an authority but they are beautiful and the light is definitely something special.
