Seal at Porthgwarra

43 today. Yikes!

Despite the onset of rain, had a fabulous walk along one of my favourite stretches of coastline to Nanjizal Bay, which I've featured much earlier on in my journal.

This seal was minding it's own business at Porthgwarra Cove and we did wonder if it was injured. It's certainly the first time I've been able to get so close to a seal on a beach so easily accessible by humans. We reported it to the coast guard at the lookout further along the cliff but learnt later that it was known by the seal sanctuary at Gweek. Aparently it had been there for a couple days because it was moulting. I need to get onto Google to learn more about this.
