The odd curiosity shot

Misty

Mountains of Snowdonia shrouded in mist again all day today, very poor visibility. Not a day for Munro bagging, that's for sure. There are 14 in North Wales, though some would argue 15. Two continue to elude me; would like to 'bag' them, if only just to tick them off but always seem drawn to the Glyders...proper mountains I say.

Managed a low level seven miler in and around Beddgelert. Couldn't see a thing but imagine it is beautiful on a clear day.

Somehow managed to plunge knee deep into a puddle of monstrous proportions; I was however, saved from certain misery by my faithful gaiters - favourite bit of kit by a country mile!

Anyway, this is part of the remains of the machinery which transported copper ore down from the mountain - presumably during late Victorian times. It's difficult to imagine the activity of the intensive mining in the past. How times have changed.

Fab half term already and it's only Sunday...
