BIG caterpillar

I had already done my blip for today..again! Got home and was watering the plants and almost missed this big chap munching on my willow tree...you can see the leaf behind him. I had to turn the twig round to get a better shot and he sort of hung there. Googled `caterpillars` and found he is a `Poplar Hawk Moth` caerpillar. Last year I had elephant hawk moth caterpillers in the garden and the are 3 times as big as this one!!!! I think he`s quite lovely
