Spring Is Close (Berberis Darwinii)

I was going to post more ducks today, but this image kept speaking to me, "post me, they need some color!". So I gave in and decided we all needed a punch of color on a Monday....especially one as dull and overcast as this one is here in Portland, Oregon.

I have no idea what plant's buds we are looking at here, but I thought the color did it for me! I found this at the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Gardens in SE Portland. It is not a rhody....it was a bush/tree.
