San Diego Zoo

My sister and I grew up traveling with our parents. We often were on the road before dawn and packed maximum adventure into the cross country trips we took to see grandparents. We took this idea to heart and on Friday of our San Diego adventure we were the second and third people through thee gate when the zoo opened.

We saw so many animals. You can see some of the highlights in this album.

We were joined by San Diego resident and fellow blipper In Today's Views... after lunch. She spent the rest of the afternoon hitting the sights of the zoo with us that we had not yet encountered. My sister and I feel fairly confident we saw every visible animal at the zoo in the 7+ hours we spent there. It was completely worth it.

The sun shone down all day long and it was wonderful.

After another dinner in we decided to explore the Gaslamp District where our hostel was located. It was a fabulous party for those under the age of thirty and quite a spectacle for those over the age of 40. We did find a nice pub for a beer and then called it a night with our shoes off in front of the television for a bit.
