Academic decision making

A singularly unimpressive photo today, but nonetheless tells a story - today was Academic Council! The decision making body of senior academics, where the issues of the day are debated, rallying speeches made, motions passed or cast aside by the democratic will that characterises contemporary Academia. Or perhaps not quite. Anyway, I have an annoying habit of being the first to arrive and the notes are sitting there waiting to be read under the gaze of Presidents past.
