Emergency Demolition

This block of flats caused a great deal of grief when they were built. The banging in of the piles for the job went on for months and disrupted the local community.
One of my friends was driven mad by the noise and ended up being arrested for protesting. The case was thrown out owing to publicity in the press around the stress levels caused in the neighbourhood by the appalling noise levels.
I do feel sorry for the residents of the flats. The place is being demolished with all their chattels still in situ, but I won't miss this building.
