Odda's Chapel

Odda of Deerhurst was an Anglo-Saxon nobleman. He built this chapel in Deerhurst Gloucestershire in 1056.
This is a copy of the dedication stone which was found, in a nearby orchard, in 1675.
- "Earl Odda had this Royal Hall built and dedicated in honour of the Holy Trinity for the soul of his brother Aelfric, which left the body in this place. Bishop Ealdred dedicated it the second of the Ides of April in the fourteenth year of the reign of Edward, King of the English".

Unfortunately it's a very grey day so the lighting, in most of the other shots of the chapel itself, was very flat. I'll have to go back when the sun is shining.
