Another morning at the lake

This was taken at the same place nearly as yesterday's flowers and the previous day's beaver, the small lake near the cabin.

I seem to have a bit of a routine - get up early, go for a pre dawn walk around the lake, have breakfast, get ready and tackle the 10 mile drive to Leadville, ride the mineral belt trail (12 miles through lovely terrain, and harder than it seems at 10000 feet), go get a coffee and use the city wifi to catch up on email, get back to the cabin, and try to do a family thing in the afternoon (with 4 different families and 4 kids it is near impossible but we try).

Got up early enough this morning to get a good look at the beaver again, thus confirming that beavers swim around enthusiastically until sunrise then disappear.

I tried to catch the mist effects on the lake as the sun rises over the mountain, with varied success.

This photo shows a bit more of the lake than most, so I am blipping this. Nice and peaceful, eh? A lot of detail is lost at blip size but hey, you get the idea.

Tomorrow, I promise, I will show the proper mountain view across the valley!
