Decimalisation

41 years ago today Britain's currency was decimalised and out went pounds shillings and pennies and in came pounds and pence. 12 pennies made up a shilling, 20 shillings comprised a pound and one pound and a shilling was a guinea. I'm sure most people won't be able to remember those old days ! So to commemorate this I have set up a sort of still life photo with coins from the pre-decimal era along with some modern coins as a contrast. As a backdrop I have used old £5 and £1 banknotes. Look how the image of the Queen has changed !
