Rainy Season Arrives Early

This shot is deceving because about 2 hours earlier we were lying by the pool in the hot sunshine. We decided to go into the town to grab some lunch at a lovely restaurant by the sea. Food was excellent as usual. We were walking down the road to the town when we noticed some really dark clouds so we nipped into a bar on the street. The owner promptly told us to sit inside a bit because the rain was about to come. It did, with thunder and lightning, it was absolutely torrential. The owner grabbed her kids and told them to stay inside. Unfortunately for the school kids they still had to make their way home in the rain.
Trying to take shots in torrential rain is tricky but I liked this shot as I think it gives an idea as to how bad the rain was. The school kids however still managed to enjoy the walk home. Some were running but most were having fun getting absolutely soaked. I am sure the mum's will not be best pleased!
