A bunch of photo nut guys at work clubbed together to get a cheap set of studio lights.
We reasoned that no one of us would stump up for a set for something we would only use possibly once. But together we could pool and try the lights out now and then.
Today I got my first shot.
These are continuous daylight bulb lights. Not as bright as flash of course but for some types of shooting they can work really well. No waiting for the flash to charge. Faster turnaround for impatient divas.
I've got a lot to learn on how best to use these but my model tonight was delighted at not having to endure the flash fiasco.
Now all I've got to do is convince the other guys at work they don't work and I'll keep my hands on them.
