Painted glass

This is one of a number of stained glass windows in St. Saviour's church, Bridge of Allan.

The Episcopal church still opens its doors to the public every day, thanks to a team of
volunteers.

Most keep them locked because of theft.

Built in 1855 this one is known locally, with some affection, as the "Piskies" or English church.

There used to be four churches in Bridge of Allan but two , Holy Trinity and Chalmers, have amalgamated due to shrinking congregations and the former converted into upmarket apartments.
