Scientific Salvage?

Another hugely busy day, punctuated by a couple of highlights.

It's (still) hard to tell in "modern Christchurch" what are aftershocks, or demolition. Today the building one site away from us was being demo'd, how exciting! Big digger, and lots of destruction. We all stood up at the windows and (I at least) was whooping in excitement. To the point I had to go outside and watch. OK, a boy I know!

And then we settled down to work for the afternoon, next break at 4.30 to farewell a colleague who is moving to Aussie for the year. He's a designer, so fittingly we drank beer, ate pizza, and he had to break apart an IE6 piñata. Which if you don't know, is the bain of every web designers life!

Unlike the "real" IE6, it took him ages to break.

And now it's the weekend. Cycling, tennis, and sailing ahead. And even fine weather I believe!
