Life on the Good Intent

Danger Danger

My sister had just arrived to go and pick up our mother for lunch - when she said "there's a hawk in your garden".
For once my camera was right at at hand fully charged ready to go with us!
I was able to get several shots of this lovely female sparrow hawk, she was perched quite low and intent on something in the border - dunnock or wren maybe. We couldn't see any other birds apart from a crow watching her from the other side of the garden - it eventually saw her off.
I was so grateful to my sister for spotting this, thanks, Liz!
We picked up mother and took her to Largs for lunch - lovely lunch but the weather was appalling, so my camera didn't come out of its case again.
