Busy week at work but this evening was clear so spent an hour building a new back wheel for my commuting bike while watching a film with +1/2.

A new rim from the bike guy (Mavic, of course), hub from the big drawer of bike bits and spokes from cycle basket (they're particularly good; the spokes were 1/4-1/5th the price of most other places, next day delivery by courier, spokes available in bundles of 20) finished off with the classic Velox rim tape. If you don't use Velox, start now!

Nothing fancy on the wheel, standard 3-cross but should be indestructible. The matching front has done well over 4000 miles without any maintenance and is going strong.
