Model: Brewery # 12

I went into the showroom for the Brewery development today and learned about expected completion dates. Phase 1, which includes most of the buildings you see in this model - giving us a cinema, Pizza Express, Wagamama's, various other bars and restuarants, a square with fountain and ice skating rink, an open air cinema and the four-star brewhouse hotel - is due to open in October. Pretty exciting - only eight months away! The developers have flooded the site with labour, the new buildings are up, and the old ones are being actively restored.

In the left foreground of the model is the bonded warehouse building, Thomas Hardy Hall which was Brewery # 11.

The interesting-shaped building in the right foreground will be Pizza Express. Between it and bonded warehouse there will be a bronze statue of a dray horse (visible as an amorphous blob in the model).
