A walk in the park

Victoria Park or Whiteinch Park as i knew it has been around since 1887, i used to go there all the time when I was growing up.

Back then it had crazy golf, pitch and putt, rowing boats and a pond next to the famous Fossil Grove that had goldfish. I'm sure it was these very boats that coined the phrase "come in number 9 your times up!"

The park today however is a shadow of what used to be and could do with some funding to restore it to its former glory, the kids still had fun though which tells me some of the old magic is still there.
