Torten Träume

This was a rather nice cake to go with our Sunday afternoon tea. The fruit is raspberries and it's a rather good mixture of sponge, cream, jam and fruit.

We missed the parade in town today but we did see a lot of people going to it. My favourite was when we were on our way out of town we passed a car heading into town; in the passenger seat was someone dressed as the Pink Panther and the driver was wearing a cow costume. For some reason that just tickled me.

I learned a new German expression today. You don't say someone is a "cheeky monkey" (frecher Affe) here, they are instead "ein Frechdachs" or cheeky badger. It is odd the things that one learns.
