Old and new

This lamp was made by my Dad about 50 years ago. I discovered it at my cousin's house and she gave it back to me. He made it on his home-made lathe with several different types of metal and two different types of wood for the base.

It needed a little TLC and a new shade. I'm quite pleased with the result.

The new, is the room it is in. After a lot of hard work by myself and my husband we have now renovated the bedroom that was my son's.
He,after a bit of convincing, has moved out and is now with his girlfriend!!!!
