Life's tangled skein

Kelvingrove Art Gallery

We went to Glasgow again today, planning to visit the Science Centre. Embarrassingly, it was closed on Mondays and so we went to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery instead - and what a good choice that was.

As we arrived in the main entrance, an organ recital by Robin erskine was in full swing - indeed, as we walked in the door the tune was "Comin' Through the Rye".

We enjoyed this wonderful recital whilst sipping a coffee, then spent about three hours walking around the magnificent display. The highlight was undoubtedly when a wonderful member of staff showed us some of the hidden imagery within "Christ of St John On The Cross", the pride of Glasgow's collection.

Thank you very much to this kind gentleman - we really enjoyed hearing you talk about the picture!
