Piles

Today i noticed that work has commenced on removing the piles from the river beneath the millennium bridge. The piles were installed to prevent vessels striking the bridge whilst passing beneath. the piles have long been considered an eyesore, so no doubt their removal will be welcomed, i'm not sure... its only a matter of time before something goes wrong!!! the piles as they were can be seen here
