4.5 hours to Inverness

Innovative learning week has begun! And true to the student spirit of the week, we're packing our bags like the rest of them and heading on holiday. Poppy and I are heading north with Rob to stay with him for a few days, with his family (and Gran) up in Culbokie.

After a slow morning, we got the 3 O'clock bus from Edinburgh to Inverness. Poppy had done some research and the bus we were getting took an hour longer, going though all the villages on the way to Inverness, but only cost £5 each way, compared with £21 to cut an hour off.

Arrived at about 8, went to the pub for some food and a pint before we were picked up and driven to the village with Rob's mum. The family were out at a party - someone in the village had turned 90. Once everyone was back, we were subjected to Rob's village news update.. very enjoyable. Reminded me of the small villages I'd stayed in Spain, you can't breath without someone knowing about it!
