Without Malice

By aforethought

Day of Wrath

I broke a tooth. So today, to the dentist I did travel. The sky was in torment, the ground shook, and not a sound from bird or beast could be heard.

And so my face was made numb and dribbling (a look I often go for), and thus the pain was gone.

The feeling of hapless jaw wore off four hours later, as did the pain relief that accompanied it. Just in time for a 90 minute meeting. Perfect.

Why is it that your face always feels worse after visiting the dentist? Or is that just mine? My dentist that is, rather than my face! God love his needles, drills, and obvious pleasure at other people's discomfort.

I should know the Latin for grapes.
