WHEN GOOD PUTTERS GO BAD

Banished to dark spidery corners of the garage. They wait.
Smug in the knowledge that frustration will bring me back.
They'll own the course again.

28 putts a round can't last. Numbers will creep upward.
That's when they get the chance to ride the course again.

Mallet. Blade. Offset.
One will be the hero. Live in the lime light, bask in the glory.
Until... the numbers creep upward again.
