Robert Burns Birthplace

Today Blueberry & I headed down to Alloway and the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum. I really enjoyed it. The museum is very well set out, with plenty of interactive stuff and recordings of Burns work. For my money Burns' work is much better heard than read!

Then we walked over to the cottage where Burns was born, the Auld Kirk and Brig O'Doon, both made famous in Burn's poem Tam O'Shanter and the Burns Monument.

This is the bed where all the Burns children came into the world, rather nicely represented by the lit dresses.
