My Aim is True

Conspiracy theories

I go up and down this street quite often, and everytime there is always something blippable.

After class tonight off to a wee get-together. Pouring with rain so ages to find a taxi. And when I did the driver explained the reason for all the roadworks
in the city. The Scottish Executive are paying large amounts of money to all the utility companies to dig up the roads. Apparently if you look closley enough you will notice that no one is actually doing any work at all these holes in the road. The Scottish Exec want there to be traffic chaos so that people will think that congestion charging is the answer. However the reason that they want a congestion charge is not to help save the environment, oh no, the reason that they want fewer cars on the road is so that they can sell diesel to the Chinese, because they have spotted that China is now going to be a huge consumer of diesel in the future.

What is it with taxi drivers? Is it that they spend a large amount of their day sitting staring into space waiting for a fare, so that they have time to concoct their conspiracy theories? The thing is, once you are a passenger in their vehicle, you can't really disagree with them, can you?

Maybe I should stick with public transport.
