Doing Things Differently

Tree Fella

When we moved into our house, some twenty-four years ago, the back garden was a wilderness, with nothing growing over head height. Rebecca planted and pruned and nurtured, until we have a very green space.

Unfortunately one tree, without any nurturing, outgrew it's welcome. Whilst very attractive for birds, the branches blocked the sun, particularly in the late afternoon. Also the root system undermined our lawn and invaded the veg patch. So it had to go.

The fellas/fellers who did the deed were very efficient. You can see a primative timelapse of the proceedings HERE.

We can already see a difference. The garden looks lighter, wider and the veg patch is ready for some digging over. Now what should we plant??
