THIEVES

As the light looked quite nice this evening I walked to the back of the building to take the rear stairs down so that I could get a look at all the nice chimbleys at their level. There was the sun, just beyond the rooftops, lovely and visible and making the clouds do nice things.
When I emerged from the building it had disappeared to be replaced by bluey-greyness.

At least the person demanding things by close of business today had the decency to still be in the building at close of business so that the things demanded could be handed over. He was putting his coat on as I went over, though. Stealing sunsets from me. Bah. Still, after yesterday's super-late finish it felt unnervingly like a Friday today when I managed to walk out of the building at a mere six hours' pastworth of the noon. Thought of trying another panorama-planet thing from the castle esplanade but some people in yellow jackets waddled after me saying that it was shut this evening. I had to get home to set Lost downloading anyway so popped back out later to get a selection of night-time shots whilst the moon had his hat on. Tempted to try an HDR shot of the moon; one of the benefits of the fancy human eye (which evolved in case you were wondering) is the massive range available which allows us to wonder at the pretty moonbow through the clouds and the face of the almost-fully-waxèd moon at the same time. Then again, the fun thing about cameras is persuading them to show what you see to the best of their ability. Give them a few hundred million years and they might have evolved a bit too. Hopefully the moon will still be there for whatever lives yet on the earth. Hopefully the skies will be clear for them.
