The Sunny Side of the Street

It continued to be very windy, with strong gusts. It was hard to stand still to take this, but at least we had some blue sky.

Lovely light on the blonde sandstone in Pollokshields this morning. This terrace, at the corner of Nithsdale Road and Darnley Street, was designed by Alexander Greek Thomson just before his death in 1875.

He lived and died directly opposite this corner, at 1 Moray Place, Strathbungo. I must go and Blip that terrace sometime soon with a wider lens.

My friend, who moved to Seattle last summer, was in Glasgow for just 24 hours. Lovely to have lunch with her. We caught up as though we'd just seen each other yesterday. The wonders of skype and email have meant we've been in touch regularly.
