Refined Rocker

Second concert in a week. It goes like this as I tend to only go see bands or artists I'm already into rather than 'speculative gigs.

This then is Nick Lowe, on tour with his latest album, The Old Magic. An apt title in so many ways not least as he is 63. So, like Elkie, he's in his 60's and achieving a fantastic balance between skill, looks, voice, volume and content. It so easily be a sad pastiche of a faded career but he's found a really cool groove that suits him so well.

Before the gig we had a super Mexican meal in Salsa Pasada and helped celebrate National Tortilla Day (well it was in America apparently)
