Hedging materials

Of all the wind blown trees and branches we have suffered this winter the loss of the top of our very sheltered acer was the most puzzling. Theres no rot visible nor and disease. The acers around and in front of it were ok -- bizarre.

Most of the wood that came down was brash so rather than burn it or compost it I've decided to use it to create a hedge / hurdle ... But that's for tomorrow - today was prep and here's the raw material.
