Nab Scar 1450ft

Nab Scar is associated with the Lake Poets, who lived at the bottom of it's steep slopes which overlook Rydal Water.

Ros ( Visions of Chloe ) is taking a blip of Chloe, and on the right you can see The Langdale Pikes...

We parked in Grasmere, then we walked along The Coffin Route to Rydal Mount where Wordsworth lived for 37 years.

We walked steeply up to Nab Scar, then along the ridge before dropping down to Alcock Tarn, and finally down to Grasmere. (Three and a half hours round trip.)

Did you know that Nab Scar has a subterranean watercourse? There is an aquaduct which takes water from Thirlmere all the way to Manchester!
