One Crowded Hour

writers festival

Much anticipated every year, the writers festival is in town.
Often it is scorchingly hot and some of the venues struggle with warm bodies and hot air so as well as the time tables, everyone is handed a rather cute little folded fan.

Subject matter was a diverse as ever with guest writers across a variety of genre. Biography and memoir, food and ethics, Bromance (love this one, how blokes relate to each other), the public and the private.
As always crime and thrillers rate high on the agenda, this year with Sacndinavian writers spruiking their craft of writing the spine chiller.

A fantastic way to spend a weekend discovering new authors and feeling the creative juices start to ferment.
All wrapped up with a delicious bowl of rabbit and gorgonzola risotto and a shared bottle of wine.
Bliss.
