Trifle and teaching

The food at SU camps is always delicious. These little trifles looked so cute! Almost too good to eat - but trifle is my favourite dessert.

TV game shows was the theme of the weekend and it fitted well with the material we were studying: Daniel and his friends. 'Take Me Out' was used to help explain the Israelites being picked for their looks, education etc. and taken to Babylon, for example. At first I wasn't sure where the leader was going with it but it turned out to be a really good analogy! Although we aren't being threatened with a fiery furnace or lions den, Daniel and the courage he had to stand for God during his trials inspires us to continue to worship Him even when things are hard.
