wind down

Whatever was making him puke yesterday was not active today, though he was happy enough yesterday when not actively involved in puking or when not being given any more food in preparation for replacing him in a situation in which he had previously puked at some point earlier in the day. He seems to have got the hang of 'up' and 'down', usually getting them the right way round, but still refers to both left and right as just 'side'.

My manglebars worked OK-ish on the way in but were tweaked up a few degrees for the way back, when they were much comfortablier. I haven't tried them somewhere very fasty-starty-stoppy like Queen Street yet. They feel almost usable as they are but the need to move the hand to allow the thumb to flick up a gear is unsatisfactory, though oddly it's downshifting which feels more awkward. Braking is certainly easier, even with the imperfect levers. Proper bars and shifters have been ordered but only one of them looks like it'll be here in time to be fitted on Wednesday, when I shall have to be at home to wait for an Indeshite operative to turn up to make the washing machine give up its captive clothes.
